Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Field Application Engineer The FAE will be responsible for providing technical support and field applications services to customers. The role involves working closely with clients to understand their requirements, providing solutions, and offering support together with Sales.
Industry Experience: Typically, 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field such as Automotive, Industrial, or Consumer Electronics.
Salary : 5-8LPA
Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/ Electronics Engineering/ or a related field. A master’s degree can be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities and Skills for an FAE.
Knowledge Base: Must possess comprehensive knowledge of products used in different segments.
Technical Expertise: Requires strong engineering knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills.
Customer Focus: Should be inquisitive about customer requirements to generate New Business Opportunities (NBO).
Teamwork: Work closely with sales and business development teams to address and resolve technical inquiries.
Technical Proficiency:
· Part Selection and Support: Proficient in selecting parts and providing customer support.
· Schematic Review: Essential skills in reviewing schematics and design data.
· Cross-Referencing: Ability to cross-reference parts across different suppliers.
· Component Knowledge: Familiarity with discrete components, connectors, and passive components.
Software Skills: -
· Embedded Systems: For those with an embedded background, the ability to independently design code according to customer requirements is crucial.
· Circuitry Understanding: A solid understanding of circuitry is necessary.
Project Management:
· BOM Creation: Proficiency in creating a Bill of Materials (BOM) for managing projects from initial customer interaction to production.
· Compliance: Familiarity with BIS/UL documentation and compliance is essential
