Job Responsibilities:
To lead and manage Bought-Out Parts (BOP) procurement with strong focus on cost control, vendor development, commercial negotiations, and supply assurance, supporting plant operations and business profitability.
Responsibility Area
Key Activities / Accountabilities
1. BOP/RM Cost Control & Commercial Management
β’ Drive cost reduction initiatives for Bought-Out Parts through commercial negotiation, VA/VE, localization, and Transport cost
β’ Ensure achievement of annual cost-down targets.
β’ Analyses cost break-ups and benchmark pricing against industry standards.
β’ Review RM and Indirect Purchase.
2. Vendor Management & Development
β’ Identify, evaluate, develop, and onboard vendors in line with Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Compliance (QCDC) requirements.
β’ Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews and ensure corrective actions.
β’ Ensure vendor compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and statutory requirements.
3.Procurement Operations
β’ Ensure timely availability of BOP materials to meet production schedules.
β’ Track Plan v/s Actual Supply and Adjust the requirement.
β’ Coordinate with Planning, Production, Quality, and Finance for smooth procurement execution.
β’ Maintain the Relationship for supplier for Smooth Delivery.
β’ Proactively resolve supply issues, shortages, and escalations.
4.Cross-Functional Coordination
β’ Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams for part approval, change management, and cost optimization.
β’ Support new model / project sourcing activities including RFQ, costing, and supplier nomination.
5. Systems, Compliance & Reporting
β’ Ensure adherence to procurement SOPs, audit requirements, and internal controls.
β’ Maintain accurate procurement data in SAP systems.
β’ Prepare and present MIS reports on cost, vendor performance, and savings to management.
