Job Description
1. Role Summary
Lead the investigation and utilization study for semiconductor localization aligned with the “Make in India” strategy. This role leverages specialized semiconductor expertise and assumes a future working style that enables flexible activity at locations close to the market (non‑DIIN HQ).
2. Key Responsibilities
1) Semiconductor Market Research (Investigation)
- Analyze market trends for semiconductor and electronic implementation parts.
- Monitor supplier capabilities, technology trends, and India’s manufacturing landscape.
- Assess appropriate introduction timing for potential localization candidates.
- Compile reports combining procurement and engineering viewpoints.
2) Utilization Study / Localization Planning
- Develop localization plans in close collaboration with R&D.
- Coordinate with IGC, DNJP, and relevant departments for target DN parts.
- Evaluate local suppliers, establish technical and commercial feasibility, and prepare roadmap and pilot execution plans.
- Assess cost benefits, risks, and implementation readiness.
3) Cross-Functional & External Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams (procurement, development, production, quality, planning).
- Exchange information with Indian suppliers, government agencies, and industry bodies.
- Conduct periodic reviews with global counterparts (IGC, DNJP, etc.).
4) Future Workstyle
- Engage in activities from locations close to the market rather than being limited to HQ.
- Drive information gathering directly through customer, supplier, and governmental interactions.
3. Required Skills & Qualifications
• Job experience semiconductor industry in main of job history
• Foundational knowledge of semiconductors or electronic components.
• Experience in market/technology research or strong analytical ability.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Business‑level English communication.
• High autonomy, problem‑solving ability, and execution capability.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing (front-end / back-end) or packaging.
• Experience in procurement or strategic planning.
• Work experience in the Indian market.
• Experience coordinating with overseas sites or external agencies.
4. Work Location
- Primary location: India
- Future expectation: flexible work from market‑proximate sites (non‑HQ)
- May require domestic travel, supplier visits, or coordination meetings.
