Job Statement
• Managing Over all Quality function including (Customer Quality, Process Quality, Supplier Quality & Quality system) in the plant.
• Driving Quality Mindset, promote improvement Culture & Structured problem-solving approach to enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensuring compliance to standard, Deviation and Audit management.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Leadership:
• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the quality department, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management system to drive continuous improvement and adherence to industry standards.
• Foster a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization, emphasizing proactive problem-solving and prevention.
Machining Expertise:
• Possess a deep understanding of machining processes, technologies, and equipment used in automotive tire manufacturing.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes for efficiency, quality, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot machining-related issues and provide technical expertise to resolve challenges.
Quality Assurance:
• Establish and maintain quality control procedures and standards for machining operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
• Planning of Infrastructure, manpower, budget, and work structure in quality function.
• Ensure implementation and controlling of quality gates to gain a sustainable higher quality in processes/projects.
• Conduct thorough inspections and audits of machining processes to identify potential defects, deviations, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs like Incidents, PPM, NCC, Customer satisfaction index, Leadtime for customer complaint closure etc.) to monitor the effectiveness of quality initiatives.
• Facilitate methodologies, analysis tools & feedback mechanism for efficient management of customer expectations.
• Handling warranty returns according to the agreements with the customer and automotive standards.
• Prioritization of improvement projects / actions Benchmarking targets and ensuring continuous improvement.
• Promoting & facilitating i4.0 methodology for better visualization, analysis & feedback.
Team Management:
• Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Focus & Execute competence development Management Program by providing training and educational programs to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and supply chain to address quality-related concerns and drive corrective actions.
• Participate in design reviews, product development, and process improvement projects to ensure quality considerations are integrated from the start.
Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving:
• Investigate and analyze quality issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Apply Six Sigma, Lean, or other quality methodologies to drive process improvements and minimize defects.
Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and certifications relevant to automotive tire manufacturing and machining processes.
• Ensure the organization's processes and products meet all necessary compliance requirements.
Relationship & Authority
• Authorised for Deviation approval, change management approval, Line stops and so on
• Authorised for planning Quality circle, measurement skill Olympic, Ownership & culture building.
• Authorised to exchange of lessons learned within the organization and BU's.
Qualification & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent course in engineering, Six Sigma certification Preferred.
• Professional experience (at least 15 years) in Quality Management/ industrial Engineering in the field of machining.
• Strong background in machining processes, including experience with CNC machining, tooling, and material specifications.
• Proven expertise in quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA)
Skill and Ability
• Sound Knowledge in Machining related technologies, quality systems, infrastructures, standards, and processes
• Advance level Communication skills, including Presentation and Negotiation techniques; advanced English
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven and analytical approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
• Advance level of decision-making ability, Time management, Project management Skills
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to automotive manufacturing and machining.
