Job Description
1. Procurement Management
Manage overall procurement activities for materials, equipment, services, spare parts, and factory requirements.
Manage RFQ, quotation comparison, price negotiation, PO issuance, delivery follow-up, and cost reduction.
Ensure procurement is conducted in accordance with company policies, budgets, approval procedures, and internal controls.
2. Import & Compliance
Manage import procurement and customs clearance in coordination with suppliers, CHA, freight forwarders, Finance, and internal departments.
Ensure proper import documentation and compliance with customs, tax, DGFT, BIS, PESO, EHS, and other applicable regulations.
Identify and manage import-related risks, delays, and compliance issues.
3. SAP & Process Control
Manage procurement processes through SAP MM, including PR, PO, GR, service entry, invoice matching, and related reports.
Ensure accurate procurement data, proper approvals, segregation of duties, and audit trails.
Improve procurement processes, controls, reporting, and system utilization.
4. Vendor & Commercial Management
Manage vendor sourcing, onboarding, evaluation, performance monitoring, and vendor development.
Negotiate commercial terms and manage contracts, pricing, payment terms, delivery, quality, and other key conditions.
Drive cost reduction, alternative sourcing, localization, and supplier risk management.
5. Governance, Reporting & Team Leadership
Ensure ethical and transparent procurement and prevent fraud, bribery, conflicts of interest, and unauthorized purchases.
Support audits, compliance reviews, management reporting, budgeting, and procurement planning.
Lead and develop the procurement team and support the HOD in overall procurement strategy and operations.
Maintain confidentiality of procurement, vendor, commercial, SAP, and company information.
Educational Qualification
Bachelorβs degree in Commerce, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. MBA/PGDM or relevant qualification in Procurement, Materials, Supply Chain, or Logistics will be an advantage.
