Desired Candidate Profile
Documentation & Statutory Compliance
•
EXIM Documentation: Manage the complete lifecycle of import and export documentation, including preparation, verification, and timely follow-ups.
•
Government Schemes: Ensure compliance and handle application processes for various regulatory systems and certifications such as SIMS (Steel Import Monitoring System), PIMS (Paper Import Monitoring System), EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility), and AEO (Authorized Economic Operator).
•
Regulatory Updates: Stay updated with government notifications from GST, DGFT (Director General of Foreign Trade), and CBIC (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs) to ensure organizational compliance.
Logistics & Operational Execution
•
Shipment Tracking: Monitor and track all international shipments in real time, ensuring accurate and up-to-date internal records.
•
Coordination: Act as the key point of contact between production teams for container de-stuffing (FCL/LCL) and the planning team for export shipment bookings.
•
Last-Mile Management: Coordinate with drivers and transporters to ensure timely delivery of shipments.
•
Field Visits: Visit Customs and government offices as required to facilitate clearances and resolve operational or compliance-related issues.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
•
Service Provider Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with Custom House Agents (CHAs) and freight forwarders.
•
Negotiation: Drive cost efficiency through vendor development and effective negotiation of freight and service rates.
•
Financial Accountability: Verify CHA and transporter invoices for accuracy before submission to the Finance team.
Skills Required
•
Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
•
Ability to prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports
•
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in import and export operations
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or MBA in Logistics/Supply Chain Management preferred
