Job Role : Supplier Development Engineer Job Family : Purchase Job Purpose Manages the relationship with key/strategic suppliers using relationship management techniques to deliver value for both the company and supplier. Area of Accountabilities Key Activities Lead technical activities ο· Establish and develop the sourcing strategy Create and maintain a supplier base mapping in term of process, quality, cost data & drivers, capacity for its category. Scouting for potential new suppliers and technologies. ο· Assess suppliers in quality, organizational and technical cost performance, capacity. ο· Carry out supplier development initiatives on quality, cost, logistic on chosen supplier / technology / process / category ο· Organize / facilitate coβdesign activities between suppliers and internal engineering for new component concepts. Create and maintain process constraints design guide lines. ο· Participate to SDR (Supplier Design Reviews) for new component types and first component of new suppliers. ο· Consolidate & deploy Lesson Learned and best practice worldwide.
