Global supplier of OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods – Casing / Tubing / Drillpipe)
and Downhole Tools for upstream Oil & Gas operations.
The company is expanding its business in India and is seeking a technical-
commercial professional with a strong understanding of upstream well construction
activities.
Role Overview
This position is responsible for the marketing and sales of OCTG and Downhole
Tools (with a strong focus on Casing Accessories) in India, as well as selected export
markets.
The role requires a combination of:
Hands-on sales / commercial experience, and
Solid technical understanding of well design, drilling, and completion
operations,
enabling the candidate to engage in technical discussions with petroleum company
engineers regarding the products being offered.
The successful candidate will independently manage the entire sales cycle, from
customer development through post-sales support.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing and sales of OCTG and Downhole Tools (Casing Accessories /
Completion Equipment)
Customer development and long-term account management with operators
and service companies
Conducting technical and commercial discussions with customer petroleum,
drilling, and completion engineers
Understanding customer well programs and aligning product proposals with
well design and operational requirements
Tender participation, pricing strategy, negotiation, and order intake
Coordination of order execution and ongoing customer support after order
award
Required (Must Have)
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a
related upstream Oil & Gas discipline
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least one of the following
being mandatory:
o Sales or technical-commercial experience in Downhole Tools, such as
Casing Accessories or Completion Equipment, OR
o Drilling services or well services experience at a global oilfield service
company
Basic but practical understanding of well design and well drilling / completion
operations
Ability to discuss technical aspects of the products with customer oil company
engineers and relate them to well construction challenges
Proven capability to manage the full sales cycle independently
Solid understanding of upstream Oil & Gas operations
Native-level Hindi communication skills
Business-level English communication skills
Willingness to travel frequently within India and occasionally to the overseas
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Direct experience with casing accessories or completion equipment and
OCTG
Existing customer relationships within the Indian Oil & Gas market
Experience working in an international / global organization
Exposure to tender-driven sales environments with NOCs / IOCs
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a
related upstream Oil & Gas discipline
