Job Description


1) Responsible for a particular manufacturing technology (e.g. welding, stamping, hot forming, Tubeline ) within a unit
2) Ensures that products in his production unit are produced on time, are of good quality and meet or exceed all customer and company standards
3) Creates flow efficiency by usage of value stream mapping
4) Drives continuous improvement through implementation and application of BOS_ Compass principles and best practices
5) Steers and ensures daily routines (e. g. Morning Meetings) to install a mindset of continuous improvement and problem solving
6) Executes new project launches by making capacities available for try-outs (equipment, manpower, …), R@R as a core team member for production
7) Ensures and follows safety procedures within the production organization being attentive to unsafe behaviors or conditions and taking necessary corrective actions
8) Ensures that planned KPIs are met or exceeded
9) Identifies and solves problems affecting production throughput, quality, or cost performance and for optimizing manpower and equipment efficiency and utilization by usage of BOS_ Compass tools and problem solving
10) Ensures adherence to rigorous predictive and preventive maintenance schedules that increase efficiency and extend the useful life of capital equipment
11) Develops and validates team leaders, training and assessment for standardized work
12) Prepares and maintains personnel training/performance records and attendance tracking for continuous development of employees
13) Promotes a respectful work environment and recruits, develops and retains human resources to maintain a qualified, motivated and productive workforce. Leads by example and lives up to BENTELER’s mission, values and global leadership principles. Uses standard HR tools e.g. the appraisal process to provide regular feedback and agree upon tasks and goals with respective employees

Educational Qualification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
1) Education: : Degree of Mechanical engineering min 15 years of relevant experience.
2) Training;: Professional experience: at least 12 years of relevant professional experience.
3) Good English language skills.
4) basic knowledge of processes in the location (SAP).
5) Business acumen
