Job Description
1. Product Portfolio Management
ο· Manage the complete lifecycle of lubrication products (launch, growth, maturity, phase-out)
ο· Define product positioning, specifications, and packaging strategies
ο· Ensure product compliance with industry standards
2. Market & Competitive Analysis
ο· Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
ο· Analyze pricing, product gaps, and opportunities in the aftermarket segment
ο· Track emerging technologies (EV fluids, low-viscosity oils, sustainability trends)
3. New Product Development (NPD)
ο· Collaborate with R&D to develop and launch new products
ο· Prepare business cases, feasibility studies, and product specifications
ο· Coordinate product testing, validation, and certification
4. Pricing & Profitability
ο· Develop pricing strategies aligned with market positioning and margins
ο· Monitor product-wise profitability and recommend corrective actions
ο· Manage cost optimization initiatives with procurement and manufacturing
5. Sales & Channel Support
ο· Work closely with sales teams to drive product adoption in aftermarket channels
(distributors, workshops, retailers)
ο· Develop sales tools, technical training materials, and product literature in co-ordination
with Marketing Communications
Educational Qualification
Bachelor Of Engineering and Postgraduate in Business / Marketing
