Job Description

Summary:
The Sales Engineer is a key member of the sales team, responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the sales process. This role involves understanding customer needs, demonstrating product capabilities, developing technical proposals, and collaborating with the sales team to close deals. The Sales Engineer acts as a technical advisor to customers and plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
β€’ Technical Expertise:
o Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's products/services and their applications.
o Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive offerings.
o Provide technical expertise to the sales team and customers.
β€’ Customer Engagement:
o Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase product capabilities.
o Understand customer needs and requirements through technical discussions and consultations.
o Develop and deliver technical proposals, including system configurations, pricing, and implementation plans.
o Respond to technical inquiries from customers and address their concerns.
β€’ Sales Support:
o Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies and identify target accounts.
o Provide technical input during the sales process, including proposal development and contract negotiations.
o Assist in preparing sales presentations and marketing materials.
o Participate in trade shows and industry events.
β€’ Project Management:
o Manage technical aspects of projects, including implementation and integration.
o Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
o Provide post-sales technical support to customers.
β€’ Market Analysis:
o Conduct market research to identify potential customers and market opportunities.
o Analyse competitor offerings and develop strategies to differentiate the company's products/services.
β€’ Reporting and Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
o Prepare regular reports on sales progress and technical activities.
