Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Building, Localization & Global Coordination
• Support the long-term development of Mizuno’s brand presence in India as a premium performance sports brand.
• Work closely with Japan Headquarters, the Singapore regional head, and other Mizuno offices to understand global brand priorities, product stories, and campaign direction.
• Translate global and regional brand initiatives into locally relevant programs for the Indian market while maintaining brand consistency and identity.
• Ensure smooth communication and coordination with cross-functional and cross-border stakeholders across Japan and overseas offices.
• Ensure that all marketing activities consistently reflect Mizuno’s standards of quality, craftsmanship, innovation, authenticity, and premium brand presentation.
2. Category Marketing – Badminton, Cricket & Running
• Support category-focused marketing initiatives for badminton, cricket, and running as priority growth businesses in India.
• Develop and execute campaigns, content, and activation ideas that strengthen brand relevance among serious players, athletes, and sports communities.
• Assist in product launches, seasonal campaigns, and category storytelling tailored to the Indian market.
• Build awareness and credibility for Mizuno among performance-oriented consumers rather than purely lifestyle-driven audiences.
3. Athlete, Specialist Retail, Trade Partner & Wholesale Marketing
• Support marketing initiatives involving athletes, coaches, academies, clubs, and specialist sports communities to strengthen brand credibility.
• Work with key specialist retailers, top regional stores, distributors, wholesalers, and other strong trade partners to plan and execute localized marketing activities.
• Coordinate trade and partner marketing initiatives that improve in-store visibility, product communication, and premium brand presentation.
• Identify and implement joint marketing opportunities with key retail and wholesale partners, especially during the initial market development phase.
4. Grassroots & Sports Activation
• Plan and execute grassroots programs to increase trial, participation, and long-term brand connection among developing athletes and sports communities.
• Organize local sports events, community engagement programs, and brand activations aligned with priority categories.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the value of sport in India through meaningful on-ground engagement using Mizuno products and services.
• Support initiatives that deepen engagement with athletes, players, and sports communities and strengthen Mizuno’s performance sports positioning.
5. Digital Marketing & Content
• Manage and support digital marketing initiatives across social media and other relevant digital platforms.
• Develop content ideas that reflect Mizuno’s performance sports heritage and connect with athletes, players, and sports-focused consumers.
• Support the execution of paid campaigns, athlete and influencer collaborations, and digital storytelling aligned with local campaign objectives.
• Ensure digital activities complement offline activations, grassroots programs, and partner-led initiatives.
6. Market Intelligence, Analysis & Reporting
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights across badminton, cricket, running, and related sports categories.
• Conduct store visits, market visits, and partner visits to gather actionable insights.
• Track campaign and activation results and prepare regular reports for management and relevant stakeholders.
• Provide timely market feedback and recommendations to support local decision-making and coordination with headquarters and regional teams.
Educational Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.
